Ultra wide large screen 

Touch panels are widely used in various applications such as tablets, smartphones, laptops, large all-in-one PCs, household appliances, signage and industrial equipment. In the automotive market, with the increasing electrification, there is a noticeable trend towards larger displays for navigation and other purposes. We possess large-scale exposure equipment capable of accommodating displays up to 55 inches (over 1,200mm in length). From small to large sizes, we can provide sensors suitable for various applications.

Design flexibility

Owning to the characteristics of flexible film, we can accommodate a variety of product shapes, such as streamlined panels and switch panels tailored to the design and shape of automotive bodies. Additionally, we have a sensor design department that proposes optimal touch sensor designs based on basic design information provided by customers.

Curved shape

Glass sensors and fragile ITO sensors cannot be applied to curved displays or foldable displays which have been increasingly popular in recent years. Our sensors are formed on a film substrate with copper. Thanks to the flexibility of the film, 3D designs that were previously impossible have been realized.

Reliable quality

In automotive and industrial applications, high reliability is required to ensure safety and performance under harsh conditions. By using copper, which has a proven record in applications such as electrical wiring, we achieve high reliability in our sensors. Furthermore, to enhance reliability, we are developing surface blackening materials and anti-corrosion technologies.

Superior optical characteristics

Utilizing our strength in photolithoetching technology, we can make the wiring of copper sensors extremely thin while maintaining transparency. Additionally, moiré patterns caused by interference between display pixels and copper wiring can be suppressed using advanced simulation design techniques. For products requiring high optical characteristics, we can change the base film material to transparent and low-haze COP and implement measures to avoid optical interference.

Incomparable touch performance

The low resistance of our copper sensors is the key feature, making them ideal for applications requiring high positional accuracy such as active and passive stylus pen functions and high refresh rate gaming PCs. Moreover, they can accommodate emerging demands such as glove and hover interfaces.

Automotive

In automotive, electrification is advancing, particularly in the infotainment systems
such as navigation and dashboard, also leading to the proliferation of larger displays. Moreover, with the spread of electric vehicles and autonomous driving technologies, the functionalities demanded of displays, such as steering switches, will continue to expand. Our products are capable of accommodating sizes up to 55 inches. Leveraging the flexibility of films, we can also contribute to designs such as streamline shape to maximize the feature of our customers’ products.

The integration of smart appliances, combining functions such as vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, microwaves, furniture, and switches for household items around beds, has become increasingly prevalent. In the future, with the interconnectivity of these appliances through IoT, touch panels for operation will become indispensable. Additionally, low resistance increases design flexibility. With our sensors featuring copper wiring on film substrates, we can leverage flexibility to accommodate various designs of household appliances, including three-dimensional shapes.

Our copper mesh technology can be utilized for antenna reception devices in the 5G era.
