For over a decade, we have been dedicated to the development of copper touch sensor films using photo etching as our core technology. This technology enables us to achieve high-precision and aesthetically pleasing touch display functions. In 2018, we inherited this technology from our 35% shareholder, TOPPAN Inc.,, and further enhanced its functionality, performance and reliability. Leveraging the synergy with the global marketing efforts of our 65% shareholder, VIA Optronics, we are delivering our achievements to customers worldwide.

Provides copper mesh sensor roll to PC, automotive, and other industrial application markets

VTS Touch Sensor was born through the synergy between the German company VIA Optronics and TOPPAN Inc., from Japan.
Leveraging the strengths of both companies—VIA’s expertise in the automotive market and TOPPAN’s strength in the PC/consumer market—VTS Touch Sensor contributes to solving various challenges for our customers.

VTS-Touchsensor provides unique copper film and high-definition patterning copper mesh sensors achieved with the photo etching technology. As a pioneer in copper mesh sensors, we have been responding to customer needs since the early days of the market. Through various developments such as microfabrication and slimming down, our sensors have been adopted in many PCs and industrial equipment’s capacitive touch panels, earning us favorable reviews.

In the future, with the proliferation of human-machine interface driven by electrification in automobiles, touch sensors are expected to play an even more crucial role. Leveraging the characteristics of copper mesh sensors—low resistance, transparency, and high design flexibility—we anticipate further development not only in the consumer market but also for automotive and industrial equipment applications.
